I hope everyone had as much fun as I did! I love to visit with everyone that comes to the retreats. We have a very limited number of kits left. If you wanted to do the JOY or NOEL and didn't get signed up I have less than 10 kits left of each one. As of now I won't be able to get any more before Christmas. We sold out of the "This is my Joy" kits, however, if we get enough requests we will make more kits. The only one we have several of is the Cookies album. After our orders hit 55 we decided we better make several extra kits to get us through the holidays. There are a few of the other kits, except for the Halloween Album which is sold out.
I can't believe it's time to start thinking about Christmas! It will be here before we know it so lets get an early start and get some gifts made!

Pages from September Club sei

Here are some pages that I made from the September Club sei kit. This was a mini kit. I didn't even use half of the packet to do these pages. I also did a memo board for Alex's bedroom. I will post it after I get the frame painted. If you are interested in signing up for Club sei, call the store. We have to order the kits by the 20th of the previous month. For example we ordered October kits on September 20. (we could probably still add to the order if you want to sign up.) To view the current kit, go to http://www.clubsei.com/. You can come in on the fourth Thursday of every month to do your kit. It's a great deal. The mini kits are $17.95 and the mega kits are $24.95. They alternate each month. For example September was a mini kit, so October will be a mega kit. I added my own lettering and a couple sheets of cardstock. Everything else was included in the kit. It's fun to get a kit with paper and embellishments that all go together!

Unless of course I come up with something else fun! I am also posting the picture of the Cookie Exchange album. (How I missed that in the first post I don't know! I scare myself!) The Noel letters are 10.5 inches high and 21 inches long and 2 inches thick. Cost for this project is $30.00. The Joy frame is 12x12 inches with wood pieces that are 3/4" thick. It's kind of hard to see the black shadow box frame in the picture. Cost is $23.00. Ifyou can come in and see the projects you'll get a much better visual. They look so much better in person. Some kits are limited, so be sure and get yours reserved as soon as you can. The last day to guarantee your kits are September 26, if they aren't sold out by then.

Another Retreat Project!

Here's another project that we will be doing at the Holiday Retreat on October 10th. The letters on this project 2" thick wood and are 10 inches tall. We are waiting very impatiently for some of the new Christmas lines to get in so that we can get the other two projects finished! One of the projects is similar to the Joy shown above only it is the word Noel with the "o" as an ornament shape, it is very cute! Cost for this project is $23.00

Here are a few of the projects that are offered for the holiday retreat. We have a couple more but are waiting for the supplies to come to finish the samples. (check back on Friday morn!) To see how cute they really are you can come into the store and see them! (For all you touchy feely people like me!)

We want to do something else fun this year! We thought a cookie exchange would be fun! Just bring at least 4 dozen of your favorite homemade cookies and the recipe (typed to fit in a 6x6 sheet protector, we will copy enough for everyone). Just think of how many fun new recipes you could go home with!

You could just take the recipe or make the cute binder that is shown for only $15.00.

Fall or Boo blocks: each block is approx. 4" square.

Fall set is $9.00

Boo set is $7.00

Christmas traditions wood mini album: $18.00 (The album is shown open and closed.)

Christmas or Halloween flip album: $10.00

Large photo cube (5 1/2"): $13.00

Remember our kits come with everything you need except adhesive, mod podge, and ink. (paint will be provided for those that require paint for those completing the kits at the retreat.)

HOLIDAY RETREAT!

Due to all the requests, we are going to hold a Holiday Retreat this year. However, it will be a little different than our normal retreats. (Hopefully better!) Instead of doing one of each project you get to pick which projects you want to do and how many! If you want to do 10 of one project and get a bunch of gifts done, go for it! If you want to just come for part of the day and do a couple projects, that's fine to. All you pay for is the projects you sign up for. Hopefully this will make it so that those who can't afford the entire retreat, or can't be gone for the whole day, can still come and enjoy themselves.
We should have the projects posted here within a couple weeks. (Sorry, it is taking me a while to get caught up from my daughters wedding. It pretty much consumed my entire summer, but it was great!) You can call the store and sign up for your kits, and all kits must be prepaid with no refunds since kits will be made as they are ordered.
The day of the retreat is Saturday, October 10. Doors will open at 9 am for you to start making your projects, however you can come whenever you want! You will have access to our retreat room and tools until 7:00 that evening.
Some kits may be limited so be sure and sign up early!

What a year it has been! I haven't kept up on this blog and it's about time that I did! We have been remodeling our house and it has consumed almost every waking moment!
We had the Spring Retreat and it was a success! (at least that is what everyone said) My life was a little crazy at the time. We were living in our basement with no kitchen and one bathroom, and my husband was working out of town. March is pretty much a blurr to me. Hopefully now I can get back to the fun stuff like scrapping! Remember we scrap every Thursday at the store. All you have to do is call and tell us that you will be coming so we can have a spot ready for you.
We are doing a new club every month. Club SEI has been alot of fun. You can view the upcoming kits online at clubsei.com. Just remember to sign up by the 20th of the previous month.

Date of Retreat, March 14, 2009
Price: $110 plus tax (approx. 116.99).
You can make a deposit to hold your spot (minimum deposit $50), however, all deposits are non-refundable. If you find that you can't come to the retreat, you may sell your spot. There will be a $20 transfer fee after February 1, 2009.
It will be great fun! It will be here before we know it!

We have so many new cute halloween lines, it makes me want to pull out all of my Halloween Pictures (Yes, I have years worth just like everyone else!) and get scrapping! We have the new Black Out Line from We R (it's going fast!), Spooky line from MME, and some new fun papers from Flair.
We are excited to be hosting a monthly club again. Club SEI will be held monthly. (One of my favorite Companies!) You can enroll or quit anytime, or just do one month at a time. We have the October kit on display at the store (Sorry, October membership has already passed). Come in for more information. Sign-ups are by the 20th of the previous monhth, for example November members must contact us by October 20th.
We are very excited for our Holiday Retreat this year! We are doing some fun projects. We do have one spot available so call today if you want it. We will have a limited amount of some of the project kits available after the retreat.

We are starting to get some fun new lines in! The first one that we got was Mr. Campy by Cosmo Cricket. Get out those camping pictures from this summer and get them scrapped on this great new outdoor line. We also got new four-wheeler and motorcycle papers in from Carolees Adorn-it lines.
Our newest line is Nonsense from We R Memory Keepers. This fun new line has a ton of new embellishments to go along with the new paper.
Be sure and watch for the new Halloween lines that are coming in!

Yes, we finally go a new air conditioner and life is GOOD! We have a new refridgerated unit that my dear husband got installed last week and it is WONDERFUL! No more hot muggy days on humid days at Country Keepsakes!

Come in and do a class! Next week will be the first of our monthly Lunch Hour classes. In our "Keep it Simple and Make it Quick!" class you will make FOUR 2-page layouts and have extra embellishments to use on other projects. Classes will start at noon and you can stay as late as 6:00 to finish your pages. If you want to come in at noon and get started then come back after work to work on your pages we will be waiting for you! You'll be amazed at how much you will have finished by the end of the year just by scrapping on your lunch hour! Cost for this months class will be $25.00 and includes everything you need to complete all four pages plus a few extras. All you need to bring is your tools such as a adhesive, trimmer, scissors, ink pad etc.

Thank you so much for all of the positive comments about our spring retreat! We had a great time and hope everyone elsee did too. Our goal was to share some fun ideas and show new product! We are grateful for all of the wonderful friends we have made from our retreats. They are alot of work, but all of you make it worth it! Now if someone will just find us a retreat! We're beat and would like to get some scrapping done!
